Notary FAQS

* What are the requirements to having a document notarized?

All signers must be present before the Notary Public, coherent, and capable of communicating their understanding of the document to the Notary. All signers are required to present a valid form of identification, such as a current, signed, government-issued photo ID.

* What is the purpose of a Notary Public?

The role of a Notary Public is to act as an impartial witness, accurately verify the identities of the signer, administer oaths, and confirm that the documents were signed voluntarily by the individuals who appeared in person before the notary.

* Can you answer legal questions?

I am not an attorney, and as such, I cannot offer legal advice. Providing such advice would constitute the unauthorized practice of law.

Apostille FAQS

* What is an apostille. An apostille is an official certification that verifies the authenticity of a public document for use in countries that are party to the Hague Apostille Convention. It confirms the signature, capacity, and seal on documents so foreign authorities will accept them.
